My Work

I work with children, youth and families experiencing diverse social-emotional and cognitive challenges. My services utilize a number of pedagogical and therapeutic methods that are tailored to the unique strengths and weaknesses of each individual.

I support academic and interpersonal success through functional skill-building in four core areas - executive, social, emotional and behavioural. Difficulty in any of these areas causes strain on both the body and mind, which further impedes cognition. Skill development to restructure negative cognitive patterns translates to more fulfilling social connections, healthy emotional well-being and easier task completion.

Holistic care is critical for cognitive development to thrive. Ask me how I work collaboratively with multimodal healthcare providers and educational institutions to offer comprehensive and inclusive services.

About Me

number1_edited_edited.jpg

I hold a Bachelor’s of Education degree from York University, as well as a Master’s of Science degree with a collaborative specialization in Neuroscience from The University of Toronto. I am currently working towards an additional certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), accredited by the Association for Psychological Therapies.

I have extensive academic and practical training in various hospital, educational and community-based settings. My training combines the fields of Education, Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, and Family Psychosocial Assessment. As such, I take a multidisciplinary approach to education and counselling that focuses on executive function skills and social-emotional intelligence.

I am committed to supporting children, youth and families by helping them navigate life’s challenging moments. I am experienced working with vulnerable

populations—specifically those with neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disabilities, social-emotional difficulties and terminal illness.

I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), as well as the Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP) Division 54.
